Forced Vortex Apparatus

This apparatus is used to visualize the forced vortex apparatus. In this apparatus :

 A cylindrical perplex pipe of diameter 300mm is used.
 A DC motor of 1/2 HP with thyrister control to vary the Speed of perplex cylindrical tank.
 A pointer gauge is used to measure the coordinates of vortex at various points.

The tanks are well epoxy painted inside to prevent rust hence increase the life of tank.

 To determine the surface profile and total head distribution of the forced vortex.
