Forced Convection (From Horizontal Cylinder)

(From Heated Pipe to Flowing Air) This apparatus is used to find out the surface heat transfer coefficient for a horizontal pipe flowing heat by forced convection to air flowing through it for different air flow rates and heat flow rate.

i. Horizontal pipe of internal dia 28mm and length 40mm
ii. Blower with orifice plate of dia. 14mm and manometer for flow measurement.
iii. Band heater 500 watts on test section.
iv. Set of Thermocouple - 6 Nos.

i. 6 Channel Digital Temp. Indicator range: 0-300oC
ii. Dimmerstat : 0-2A / 230V
iii. Mains ON/OFF switch
iv. Blower switch
v. Digital Watt meter
