The apparatus consists of a two stage Air Compressor which is driven by an induction motor. It sucks air from inlet air tank through an orifice and air filter. The air is compressed in two stages. The compressed air from stage one enters through inter-cooler to the stage second. The finally compressed air is stored in the air receiver. Delivery pressure gauges one after first stage and another after second stage is fitted. The temperature sensors are fitted to measure the temperature at different stages. Energy meter is fitted to measure input to motor. These measurements equipment are provided to perform following experiments:
 Volumetric efficiency of compressor
 Compression ratio
 Isothermal efficiency
 Polytrophic index

 Multichannel digital temperature indicator for indicating temperature at various points.
 Energy meter for measurement of input to motor.
 Pressure gauge to measure intermediate and deliver pressure.
